Assassin’s Creed Coming to Mobiles Again “Soon”

Assassin’s Creed Coming to Mobiles Again “Soon”

Everyone’s been super psyched for Assassin’s Creed: Origins lately. It’s a totally different take on the Assassin’s Creed franchise, but a much needed change to a stagnating style of game. Apparently Ubisoft wanted to capitalize on that excitement since they just announced another new Assassin’s Creed game. Before you bust out your wallet and head for your nearest video game store or to your computer for your favorite online retailer, take a look at your humble phone. That’s right, this newest addition to the Assassin’s Creed franchise is in fact a mobile game.

Assassin’s Creed Rebellion is currently in development and will be releasing “soon” on iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, and Androids. Android devices are recommended to have at least 2GB of RAM and must have Android 4.1, while your iDevices have to be running iOS 8.

If there’s anything that Assassin’s Creed Rebellion has going for it more than anything else, it’s the massive amounts of characters they’re going to pack into this game. The whole point of it is to recruit assassins to your Brotherhood and build your home base. Of the familiar characters there will be appearances by Ezio, Aguilar, Shao Jun, Claudia, and Machiavelli (and more!). There are apparently also 20 more new characters created just for Assassin’s Creed Rebellion that will be available.

During the climax of the Inquisition is when Assassin’s Creed Rebellion takes place. While you recruit assassins and build your Brotherhood headquarters, you’ll also be able to participate in missions. They have varying rewards depending on the type of mission, but Story or Legacy missions will give you DNA fragments to unlock new assassins.

Seem like something you’d be willing to try? It’s going to be free-to-play, so that’s one positive to trying it out, right?
