To anyone who has ever said something along the lines of, “You’re so busy, that’s great!” to a small business owner, you’re not wrong. Your heart is in the right place. But in some cases it’s the most bittersweet thing you could say to them. Busy is great, but there’s only so much one person can do! Or in the case of Niantic, the Pokemon Go developer, there’s only so much one development team can do.
All of this is starting to turn around as Niantic celebrates Pokemon Go ‘s first anniversary with a new event. They’re starting to get caught up and making new additions to the game. Gyms were recently updated and raids were added. Now there’s going to be a special Anniversary Box on sale in the shop which will include Incubators, Max Revives, Ultra Balls, and Raid Passes. Also during the event, which runs from today July 6 to July 24, you’ll be able to capture a Pikachu wearing Ash’s familiar baseball hat.
Sounds like there’s great stuff in Pokemon Go ‘s future, so we can consider this event a celebration of what’s to come. Get out there and catch all the Pikachus!
