Star Wars Battlefront II Open Beta Set for October

Star Wars Battlefront II Open Beta Set for October

Star Wars Battlefront II has been front and center in video game news lately, what with pay-to-win concerns from the general public after some leaks from their closed beta. Looks like everyone will get a chance to test and either assuage or aggravate these fears just before the game fully releases. Star Wars Battlefront II is set to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 17, but a month before marks the launch of the open beta. The Star Wars Battlefront II open beta will begin October 6 and will continue for four short days to October 9. Those who pre-order will get two extra days with the game starting October 4.

Electronic Arts is still playing things super close to the vest when it comes to Star Wars Battlefront II , because Gamescom 2017 has yet to happen. This will be the platform for a few more announcements related to the game, including their muliplayer Starfighter Assault mode. Currently we know that you’ll get to pilot a variety of ships from the Star Wars universe in a space battle to remember. The time period will be set in the original trilogy, and it’ll be multiple stages of quest-based fighting.

Within the Star Wars Battlefront II October open beta, you’ll also be able to join the Separatist droid army or the Republic Clones in giant multiplayer melees. These battles will take place on the streets of Theed and you can choose from four classes. There are assault troopers, heavy troopers, officers, and specialists.

Looks like there’s going to be a great many things to try in the very short open beta period early this October. Make sure you watch out for it!
