Destiny 2 Beta Reveals Devastating Exploit and an Easter Egg

Destiny 2 Beta Reveals Devastating Exploit and an Easter Egg

We’ve got all kinds of Destiny 2 news to share with you today, but let’s start with the most awesome one first. Players in the beta for the game have uncovered a glitch that will give you a nasty advantage over your opponents. It happens during the Inverted Spire strike and involves your super ability. Normally when you kill enemies, your super bar gets filled. Then you can use the special ultimate ability. Once you do, the bar resets. Playing normally, you’ll only get to use your super about six times in the span of the entire Inverted Spire strike.

The glitch that has been uncovered by beta users happens after the Fallen enter the area on their Pike vehicles. Activate your super ability as you’re getting onto a Pike, switch your primary weapon to a different one, then back to the previous one, and ta-dah! For the rest of the strike, you’ll have your super activated. No more bar re-fills for a limited amount of uses. This glitch has been confirmed to work with every single Destiny 2 class right now. You only have until the end of the upcoming weekend to utilize this glitch, as Bungie will undoubtedly fix this before the game comes out.

In other Destiny 2 news, there’s a small Easter egg that has been discovered in the beta. During the single player campaign mission called “Homecoming,” you’ll defend a tower that’s under attack. Within this tower is a door that would normally lead to the lounge, but here it is locked. If you stand right outside the door, you can hear a distorted version of a song. That song is the unofficial Destiny theme song, “Hope for the Future,” by Paul McCartney. It’s an interesting little blip on the radar, and you can check it out in the beta if you are so inclined.
