At SDCC, Capcom hosted a 30 th anniversary panel for the Street Fighter series. During the panel, Capcom revealed players can actually select Shin Akuma with an honest-to-god, real-life cheat code. This is for Ultra Street Fighter II: The New Challengers on Nintendo Switch. To play as this ridiculous character, here’s what you need to do.
Select Ryu, pick color one and cancel. Select Ken, pick color 9 and cancel. Select Sagat, pick color 8 and cancel. Select M. Bison, pick coor 7 and cancel. Move the cursor to the random select, then press L and R simultaneously. This should select Shin Akuma, if done correctly.
It should be noted that this does add the Shin Akuma color scheme to normal Akuma, it does not permanently unlock Shin Akuma for play. The code needs to be entered each time. It is probably worth the effort, as if Evil Ryu and Violent Ken are any indication, Shin Akuma probably hilariously breaks Ultra Street Fighter II: The New Challengers into pieces.
