More Free DLC Coming to Dying Light

More Free DLC Coming to Dying Light

Dying Light still has a large, active playerbase, and developer Techland plans to reward that engagement with multiple DLC releases over the next year. If that wasn’t cool enough, all the DLC will also be free.

Techland has said that Dying Light , which released in 2015, still has around 500,000 players a week. This is only a drop of about 200,000 since Dying Light ’s first year. This shows the game is still popular, and has a dedicated enough community to justify adding more content.

The content does not have a laid-out release schedule, but Techland does say it’s coming sooner rather than later. The first DLC, called “DLC No. 0,” will add new enemies to the game. Other DLC will add new events, mysteries to solve, and more.

Techland has also said it is working on two new AAA games, one of them being a new property. Could a sequel to Dying Light be in the works, with this DLC acting as a goodwill measure to keep the brand alive in peoples’ minds? Considering the breakout success of the first game, I’d be surprised otherwise.
