Destiny 2 Introduces New PvP Mode

Destiny 2 Introduces New PvP Mode

Destiny 2 has been plowing ahead with reckless abandon. There have been so many reveals in the past few months that we can barely keep track of them all. Most recently, there was a very tiny sneak peek at the social area, The Farm, during the open beta. There were also some other Easter eggs teased, like Paul McCartney singing through a locked door in a Tower room.

Now there’s been another player-versus-player mode announced. The first that everyone participating in the beta and following Destiny 2 news is already familiar with is Countdown in the Crucible. This second and newest mode is called Survival. There should be plenty more player-versus-player modes to look forward to in the future. But for now, let’s take a look at Survival.

The key points to Destiny 2 ‘s Survival mode are a specific number of lives, perma-death, and the necessity for keenly communicated team strategies. Essentially the most important thing in Survival (of course) is to survive. You’ll have to have an already existing really good team of friends to make the most out of the mode. Or at the least, you better get on that chat and communicate with your team. That is where the true playability of Survival lies, in the need to strategize.

It looks like a great addition to a seemingly constantly blossoming game. Keep an eye out for more Destiny 2 news as we move closer and closer to the release date.
