Even though the New 2DS XL is the latest and prettiest 2DS system, the old one isn’t ready to leave stores just yet. A New Super Mario Bros. 2 2DS bundle is heading west! This bundle features a white and red 2DS that has New Super Mario Bros. 2 pre-installed on it. Originally, it was released in July of 2014 in Europe, but now we’re getting it too! Better late than never!
The handheld bundle will release in North America on August 25. It will only cost $79.99. If I recall right, that actually around the same price I paid for my 2DS quite a few years ago, and that didn’t include a game! Parents can rejoice in the knowledge that their little ones won’t have a game card to lose when it comes to this gift.
The 2DS that is sold in this New Super Mario Bros. 2 bundle is still the “old” version that first allowed players to enjoy 3DS features without the 3D. The New 2DS XL replaces it, so it makes sense that Nintendo is attempting to get rid of a bunch of older models. It’s still a great deal though, so check it out if you know someone who is a bit behind in the times and still needs a 3DS system.
