Capcom really seems to love Dragon's Dogma, as it's seen all kinds of different rereleases over the years. The newest one brings Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen back. This time, it is on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The original version of the game, Dragon's Dogma, came out in 2012. Which was followed by its re-release, Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen in 2013. That gave people the original adventure and its expansion at once. It then showed up on the PC in 2016. This clearly enjoyed at least some measure of success, since now Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen will land on the PS4 and Xbox One on October 3. This means there will be plenty for everyone to do while they wait for the holiday rush of new games.
With this newest announcement in the Dragon's Dogma series of release and re-releases, it seems pertinent to mention that Capcom has said a sequel is not out of the question. With all these different versions of the first game, it would seem everyone would have a reason to look for a sequel. If I play a game on my PC and all of my consoles, I'm almost certainly a huge fan. So hopefully this newest port of Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen is just a precursor to a successor.
