Cliff Blezinski Confirms Long-Term Support for LawBreakers

In a big interview with Eurogamer, Cliff Blezinski, director of LawBreakers , had quite a bit to say about the game’s long-term future. It’s a marathon, not a race, he said as he went on to speak of what LawBreakers fans can expect to see in the coming months. Which is good, considering the low launch numbers .

LawBreakers shipped with nine characters, and Blezinski said number ten is fully playable and on its way. He spoke of at least two maps that will be added to the game and even dropped hints that more than one new game mode is in the works to some degree. Along with that, he mentions things like new skins that players will be seeing in the game in the coming months.

Of course, the question of low numbers comes up, and Blezinski again emphasized his earlier statement. He mentions Hellblade , another game that launched the same week that, along with LawBreakers , are attempts to disrupt the video game industry in its current state. These are games with the look and feel of AAA games, but with lower price points and lower budgets.

We’ll see how LawBreakers does as time goes on, but as Blezinski says in the interview, “it’s no longer fire and forget.”
