The newest issues of Weekly Jump and V-Jump came with a pretty stacked set of Dragon Ball FighterZ announcements. We learned about new playable characters, details about the game’s story mode and more.
Four new playable characters are on the docket. Super Saiyan Blue Goku (with 10x God Kamehameha), Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta (with Final Flash Attack), Android 16 (with Hell Flash) and Android 18 (with Accel Dance) will all be there. These announced super moves are what you’d generally expect, although Android 18’s is reportedly a combination attack that summons Android 17.
There are not a ton of details about story mode yet, but it features Android 16 in some capacity. (He died in the original Dragon Ball Z story.) The plot will see “super warriors fall one by one.” So what we’re looking at appears to be an original story, perfect fodder for fans to argue about whether it’s canon or not.
V-Jump also revealed an online party mode for the game, which sees a different player controlling each fighter in 3-on-3 matches.
