Pokken Tournament DX Demo Now Available

Pokken Tournament DX Demo Now Available

Last night, Nintendo dropped a demo for Pokken Tournament DX on the Nintendo Switch eShop. Fans of the Wii U original, or curious parties who never touched a Pokken Tournament before, can try the game out, for free, ahead of the game’s September 22 release date.

The interesting thing about this demo is that it pulls a 3DS and places a hard limit on how often a player is able to actually use the demo. Based on previous reports of the Japanese demo, which was released a little earlier, the Pokken Tournament DX demo kicks you out after 15 battles. In the land of fast-paced fighting games, 15 battles is over in no time.

Luckily, intrepid gamers discovered that there is a workaround. If you’re truly dedicated to spending time in the Pokken Tournament DX lab ahead of the game’s full release, simply deleting and re-downloading the demo should refill that 15 battle allotment.

Either way, Pokken Tournament DX drops for the Nintendo Switch on September 22 and comes with more stuff than the original, including several more fighters.
