No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again Announced

No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again Announced

When the Nintendo Switch was originally revealed at that goofy press event, Suda 51 took the stage at one point to vaguely reveal the presence of Travis Touchdown on the platform. That’s the goofball antihero of the No More Heroes series. At the Nindies Showcase event for summer 2017, that vague reveal morphed into an actual game as No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again was officially unveiled.

The trailer shows a haggard-looking man wielding a baseball bat sneak. He sneaks into a mobile home, attempting to launch a surprise attack on Travis Touchdown himself. It’s revealed the man, calling himself The Bat, is actually the father of a character Travis killed in the original No More Heroes .

In the middle of the fight, the two are sucked into Travis’ video game console, due to video game reasons, which reveals the hook of No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again . In a collaboration with six other indie game developers, including Hotline Miami ’s Dennaton Games, Travis and The Bat must battle their way through different game worlds to make it back to reality.

Currently, No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again is a Nintendo Switch Exclusive set for 2018.
