ARK: Survival Evolved fans have had plenty to do in the past few months as the game fully released, and benefitted from its first official expansion. It would seem the creators, Studio Wildcard, have no intention of stagnating. They recently announced another brand new expansion for ARK: Survival Evolved . This one is called Aberration.
Aberration will bring players to a damaged ARK that has lost its original atmosphere. Thanks to this loss, the inside of the ARK has high levels of radiation, new biomes, creatures, and items never seen before. From the description, Aberration’s ARK sounds like an environment for players who are looking for a serious challenge. Some of the new creatures in Aberration will be the Rock Drake, Lantern Pug, Cave Crustacean, or the most challenging of all, the Nameless Queen.
The creatures won’t be the only thing you’ll have to battle in Aberration. The very environment will be out to kill you. You’ll have to overcome earthquakes, radiation exposure, gas leaks, ARK malfunctions, and Element chambers. All new items will help you on your journey however, as you’ll have access to cave-climbing picks, gliding wingsuits, ziplines, hazmat outfits, charge lanterns, explosive rounds, batteries, glowsticks, railguns, and even more.
If you want to take a look at Aberration, you’ll only have to wait until next month, October 2017. It will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam for everyone who owns the Season Pass: ARK : Explorer’s Edition. Not only will you get to download Aberration immediately, you’ll also get special skins exclusive to Explorer’s Edition owners. For those that aren’t Season Pass holders, you’ll be able to buy Aberration for $19.99.
