Be Careful with Final Fantasy XV’s PC Mods

Be Careful with Final Fantasy XV’s PC Mods

Everyone loves boobs. There’s really no ifs, ands, or buts about this. So why are we still shamed for liking boobs and nude mods in our video games? Square Enix is preparing to strike down with the fury of a scorned god before such things have even been created.

In case you’re wondering what in the world I’m going on about, Final Fantasy XV is in the hot spot with Square Enix at the moment. The game will be releasing for PCs next year, which will include support for player-created mods. We’ve been told that there will be no censorship or rules in the creation of these mods, but clearly there’s some fine print that wasn’t being talked about.

The director of Final Fantasy XV, Hajime Tabata, talked about this a little more in-depth at PAX West recently. He essentially said that we all better behave ourselves and not create anything that might make Square Enix blush. Apparently the creation of certain mods will change Square Enix’s stance on allowing mods for future Final Fantasy games.

The implication is pretty clear. Mods “won’t be censored” for Final Fantasy XV on the PC, but if you let the ta-tas get a little out of hand, Square Enix will pull mod support for future games. Guess we can have our cake, but we won’t be able to eat it too. You can make your mods for Final Fantasy XV , but you better reign in your creations if you want to make more for future Final Fantasy games.
