Minecraft Available on New 3DS Systems

Minecraft Available on New 3DS Systems

The 2017 September Nintendo Direct had all kinds of awesome announcements, some expected and some out of left field. One of the latter reveals would have to be Minecraft on the New Nintendo 3DS. This news in and of itself is pretty amazing, but the best part was that the digital version of the game became available immediately after the Direct for $29.99.

Minecraft on the 3DS will have both the Survival and Creative modes that made the game famous. From within the inventory, crafting, and map screens, you’ll be able to use the touchscreen and more traditional controls. This version of the game will also come with some sweet extras: two texture packs and five skin packs.

You can buy this version of Minecraft already in the Nintendo eShop. Those looking to have a more physical copy of 3DS Minecraft will have to wait. Nintendo announced that there will be a retail version of the game, but they didn’t announce when. As we go into the end of 2017, hopefully we’ll be treated with a release date for hard copies of Minecraft on the 3DS.
