Latest Rainbow Six: Siege Update Crashing PS4s

If you have Rainbow Six: Siege , downloading and installing the latest patch might be a huge mistake. Rainbow Six players across the Internet are reporting that downloading the update and then accessing your friends list will not only crash your PS4, but corrupt your hard drive. Uh oh, somebody didn’t do their testing before releasing that!

Reports of the corrupted hard drives do appear to be inconsistent. Many Rainbow Six: Siege players are just seeing system crashes specifically when going to their friend lists. Other people are losing all their save data and digital content, and then have to reset their PS4 entirely.

For what it’s worth, Ubisoft has acknowledged this Rainbow Six: Siege issue. All that has happened so far is a public acknowledgement. The company stated it is working with Sony on finding a solution. In the meantime, players should not be trying to invite their friends into games. Ubisoft of course apologizes for the inconvenience, and suggest concerned gamers should keep an eye on the official Twitter account.
