Shadow of War Microtransactions Possibly Priced

Middle-earth: Shadow of War is a highly anticipated sequel. Fans are looking forward to seeing how the Nemesis System has been updated, as well as how this game improves upon the original. Small news updates have been released here and there, but we still haven’t heard much about the addition of microtransactions. It’s been a bit of a shadow looming over the title since it was first mentioned, and fans are anxious to know how much this will cost them.

There’s currently a thread open over at the official Shadow of War community forums that seeks to discuss just that. The person who created the thread asks if anyone has heard any news about how much Gold and Mithril in the game will cost. These are the two tiers of in-game currency that we know about. According to one response, Gold will cost $2, and Mithril $6. Supposedly, these numbers have been guesstimated from the Totino’s Pizza Rolls deal.

None of this information has been confirmed by Warner Bros. or Monolith, so take it with a huge grain of salt. A moderator even popped into this thread to say that they’re not sure where the information is coming from. The mod doesn’t confirm or deny the prices, so the $2 and $3 dollar quotes could be spot on, or far from the truth. We’ll only know when a proper release of Gold and Mithril prices comes from the developers.
