Nintendo’s single-purchase mobile game, Super Mario Run , keeps on trucking. Leading up to the release of Super Mario Odyssey on the Switch, a new update is coming to Super Mario Run . This update launches on September 29 and includes a new character, among a list of other additions.
The most important part of the update is World Star, a set of nine new levels. This is accessed once a player completes the initial six worlds. It will introduce both new enemies and mechanics.
A new character, Princess Daisy, is also being added to Super Mario Run ’s growing stable of playable characters. To unlock Daisy, a new “Remix 10” mode needs to be completed. This is essentially a challenge mode of sorts that nets players Rainbow Medals for doing well.
With the update, Nintendo is also offering Super Mario Run to new players for 50% off, bringing the price down from $10 to $5. This discount will run from September 29 to October 12.
