Commodore 64 Mini Is Coming in 2018

It would seem this is the time of retro consoles. Everyone has started picking up their Super NES Classic Editions today. Meanwhile, other companies are trying to jump on the bandwagon. If Nintendo can make crap loads of money with it, why shouldn’t they, right? The most recent revelation is probably the most unexpected retro re-release: the Commodore 64 Mini!

I can hardly believe it myself to be honest, but yup, the Commodore Mini is planning to release some time early in 2018. It was created by Retro Games and is going to be released by Koch Media. It’s 50% smaller than the original C64, but has two USB ports for your own modern keyboard and/or more joysticks. One retro joystick is going to be included with the C64 Mini, as well as an HDMI cable and USB cable.

You’ll also be able to output your Commodore 64 Mini gaming through an HDMI port to whatever monitor (television or computer) suits your liking. There will be 64 games included in the C64 Mini including well-known titles like Uridium , Paradroid , Nebulus , Monty Hole , and Hawkeye . Further titles are illustrated on the C64 website by original cover art.

The Commodore 64 Mini will be selling for $69.99, and you can pre-order immediately from the console’s website.
