Red Dead Redemption 2 Has Very Realistic Horses

Red Dead Redemption 2 Has Very Realistic Horses

All right, here’s something I definitely didn’t expect to be writing up today. Red Dead Redemption 2 seems to have realistic testicle physics. You absolutely read that right, and I am simultaneously amused and embarrassed to be writing about this.

A brand new trailer released for Red Dead Redemption 2 showcased all kinds of cool story elements for game. We now know that it’s a prequel, there seems to be a lot of bank robbery happening, and dual wielding pistols are a thing. I’m personally super excited about that last bit, even though it’s definitely (most likely) not a real thing. But who doesn’t want to go into battle with guns (plural) ablazing, am I right? But some people paid extra close attention to the horses.

Let’s get back to the silly subject at hand. Within the Red Dead Redemption 2 story trailer is a sequence that shows Arthur Morgan riding off towards a column of smoke on his horse. Seems like a pretty typical western visual, and there’s nothing weird here, right? Well, some investigative/eagle-eyed (and maybe slightly perverse) people have noticed the equine has some very realistic manhood.

If you focus closely enough, you can see what look like two bronco’s bollocks swaying in time with the horse’s movements. You gotta give Rockstar Games some credit here for taking realism to another level. If those are working physics, that means someone took the time to factor that into the game. With such a close attention to detail, the rest of the game is bound to be a winner.
