Nioh Coming to PC

Nioh Coming to PC

Koei Tecmo has announced that its massively successful, PlayStation 4 exclusive, action-RPG Nioh is now coming to PCs. Now called Nioh: Complete Edition , it will be released through Steam on November 7, 2017. This version of Nioh will, as the title suggests, come with all the game’s post-release DLC.

Something particularly interesting about this port is that is it will have the different modes that alter how the game displays. The first is Action Mode, which makes the game run at a “stable” 60 frames per second. The second is Movie Mode, which will allow Nioh to run at 4K resolution, the implication being a lower frame rate. Both of these were present when playing the game on the PlayStation 4 Pro.

The PC version of Nioh will also be launching with a new in-game item as a celebration of sorts for this new release. It’s a new helmet called the Dharmachakra Kabuto. Koei Tecmo describes it as featuring Buddhist imagery on the crest, as a symbol of enlightenment. But it also looks like it might be a replica, perhaps looking more like a valve to regulate steam. Yep, they totally went there.
