Microsoft Is Hiding a Secret Inside Xbox One X Consoles

Microsoft has always been known for its attention to detail. And I’m not even talking about the sleek designs of the company’s modern consoles or the streamlined menus. I’m talking about tiny little things that people may never even see. A Spanish tech channel on YouTube ( Unocero ) recently spotted something awesome inside the Xbox One X.

It’s crazy to think that people are already taking apart Xbox One X consoles, seeing as how they don’t even officially release until November 7, 2017. You’ll be happy that someone did though, because they’ve revealed an adorable little easter egg. Contained within the Xbox One X board is an etched image of Master Chief riding a scorpion. This is clearly a dual reference. The Xbox One X was codenamed Project Scorpio and referred to as such for quite some time. And then, there’s also the Scorpion tank from the Halo series. Check the photo above for cuteness, since I wouldn’t recommend you take apart your brand new Xbox One X.

This isn’t the first time Microsoft has included Master Chief secretly in their consoles. There was also a very small Master Chief on the inside of the Xbox One S. In that particular console, he’s etched on a piece of plastic between the Blu-ray drive and hard drive. Even further back, Microsoft left a secret message inside their Xbox One controllers. If you remove the battery pack, one line of text simply reads, “Hello from Seattle.”

What do you think of all these awesome little Easter eggs?
