Last month, Build-a-Bear Workshop added Meowth to its growing roster of boutique stuffed Pokemon. This month, the several-tailed, fire-type fox, Vulpix, is making its Build-a-Bear debut with all the usual trimmings.
Vulpix is on sale now and joins a lineup comprising Pikachu, Charmander, Squirtle, Meowth, and Eevee. Vulpix is being sold the same way as the others, with a $60 online bundle with exclusive accessories, including a sound device and cape decorated with fireballs. The toy can be purchased in stores by itself for $28, alongside a $12.50 non-exclusive pajama set. Either purchase avenue will also come with a promotional Pokemon Trading Card Game card.
It’s worth noting that there are logistical restrictions with online purchases from Build-a-Bear. In store, part of the experience is customizing stuffed animals and getting hands-on with actually stuffing the toys. Online purchases come pre-stuffed and also limit additions such as scents.
Build-a-Bear is also currently running a promotion for its Pokemon line on its website. Buying two bundles will net an overall $20 discount.
