EA Patches Latest Madden 18 Patch

EA Patches Latest Madden 18 Patch

Earlier this week, EA Sports launched an update for Madden 18 that not only added new features, but also attempted to fix a few problems. One of those problems in particular was noticeable lag in Franchise mode, one of the major concerns of the patch. Unfortunately, after the patch many players reported the problems being worse, so now EA has patched the patch.

The new patch rolls back the “fixes” to where they were before the previous patch. This means the lag issues are still present. EA subsequently released a statement acknowledging the issue and claiming that fixing it is the developer’s top priority.

The earlier patch also seemed to introduce new issues, involving some confusion over newly added notifications for “Low Catch Rating” and “Catch In Traffic.” These have been removed as well, with EA saying this function will be revisited after the technical issues are addressed.

It’s not all bad news, however. The new patch does fix a crashing problem in Franchise mode that was happening sometimes when quickly going through menus. It also fixed a bug that was causing Madden Ultimate Team auction filters to reset before they’re supposed to.
