DOOM’s Switch Release Date Announced

DOOM’s Switch Release Date Announced

Bethesda and Nintendo have announced a release date for the upcoming Nintendo Switch version of DOOM . Nintendo fans will be able to take Bethesda and id Software’s surprise hit shooter on the go on November 10, 2017.

Along with the release date, an interview has been released on YouTube with id Software’s Hugo Martin and Marty Stratton, the creative director and executive producer respectively. In this interview, the two talk about how the Switch version of DOOM retains most of the features of the console version, including all the difficulty settings and the online multiplayer modes. Not mentioned is the game’s SnapMap feature, which has previously been confirmed as absent from this version. 30 frames per second was also confirmed for this port.

DOOM for Nintendo Switch is currently listed at online retailers for $59.99, which may seem odd based on current pricing for the other versions. In fairness, those have been out since 2016. Of course they will be a bit cheaper.
