Destiny 2 Won’t Celebrate Halloween

Destiny 2 Won’t Celebrate Halloween

A Destiny universe staple will sadly be missing this year. The sequel to the game, Destiny 2, will not include the typical Festival of the Lost Halloween-themed event. A community manager at Bungie, David “Deej” Dague, responded to a fan’s question on Twitter about the event. He said that the current focus has been on Destiny 2 ‘s launch, which undoubtedly refers to the current PC launch of the title.

Because of the timing of Destiny 2 ‘s launch, it means we won’t see the return of Eva Levante, the Festival of the Lost’s vendor from the original game. We’ll also miss out on the Halloween-themed quests, candy, and paper masks. None of Destiny 2 ‘s social locations will be decorated in the spirit of the season. It’s all a very dour pill to swallow, especially for those of us who celebrate Halloween more than any other holiday.

Deej reiterated that Destiny ‘s winter event, The Dawning, will be the title’s first special event. This year’s Dawning will include ice hockey, snowball fights, and cosmetic items/armor that will show your wintery spirit. All of us will just have to wait until we hear news of when The Dawning will begin before we can celebrate real world holidays in Destiny 2 .

Are you lamenting the passing up of this year’s Festival of the Lost? Or could you really care less?
