Assassin’s Creed: Origins Has Sizable Day One Patch

Assassin’s Creed: Origins Has Sizable Day One Patch

Assassin’s Creed: Origins is super close to its launch date of October 27, 2017, so fans are actively getting ready to load the title onto their consoles. No matter whether you’re playing on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or PC on release day, you’ll have an update to contend with.

A launch day patch (which will bring the game to version 1.02) will be released at the same time as the regular game. It’ll take up around 1.2 to 1.4GB of space. Those who bought Assassin’s Creed: Origins in digital form will have the day one patch queued up in downloads as soon as the base game finishes. Anyone playing with a physical version will be asked to download the patch as well when they are installing. Ubisoft is asking that people make sure they are playing version 1.02 before they start, as some important updates are made in this patch.

Some performance and stability improvements are in the day one patch, as well as balance tweaks and photo mode controls. This patch is the first, but certainly not last, for the game. Sometime in November, another patch will be released for Xbox One X users. It’ll bring 4K, HDR, and Dolby Atmos support to those playing Assassin’s Creed: Origins on that newest of Microsoft consoles.

Assassin’s Creed: Origins is set to be a pretty decent breakaway from many of the other titles in the series. Players will have to learn to adapt to new expectations within the game, since Assassin’s Creed: Origins is much different than its predecessors.
