Destiny 2 Clan Comprised of Deaf Players Owns Raids

If you haven’t heard of the subreddit Humans Being Bros , I highly suggest you check it out. It shows the best of humanity doing what we all need more of, being kind to each other. It’s because of subreddits like this that my faith in humanity hasn’t completely shattered quite yet. It was in the Destiny subreddit that I stumbled upon today’s story however, a clan of entirely deaf players has been doing their best to dominate Destiny 2 .

The clan, which goes by the name of DESTINYERRORALWAYSFAMOUS [DEAF] , includes only 12 members right now. As we all know, Destiny is a very communication-centric game. It’s imperative that players are in constant contact with the rest of their team if they want to succeed at raids. So how does this team of entirely deaf players communicate? They all know American Sign Language, but that isn’t going to be much help when everyone needs to keep their hands on their controllers at all times. The clan has come up with an ingenious means of communication. They use the text feature in Glide .

This is where shorthand and pre-raid communication is crucial. A really great example is the recent raid in which the team has been working to defeat Calus. They have to play, keeping an eye on which symbol appears on his forehead. At that moment the players will quickly send a message in Glide, which tells their teammates which bubbles to punch. A is short for Axe, S for Sun, D is Dog, and C for Chalice. This short-hand allows the team to keep their hands where they need them most, but still communicate with each other.

It just goes to show that with a little teamwork, everything is possible. You can check out the original Destiny subreddit thread in the source below if you want to follow this team closer. It would appear they plan to stream some of their raids on Mixer!
