Details Arrive for Final Fantasy XV: Episode Ignis

We knew Final Fantasy XV ’s Episode Ignis was on the way this year, but now we have all the nitty gritty on the latest major DLC expansion. During the Paris Games Week presentation, Sony used the content for its big PS4/PSVR showcase, pairing it with Final Fantasy XV: Monster of the Deep . We got more plot details, some gameplay footage, and even a final release date.

First, Episode Ignis is due on December 13, 2017. It’s $5 by itself, but also available as part of Final Fantasy XV ’s Season Pass, which includes the other character episodes and more. The trailer revealed much of the plot and gameplay, including footage of Ignis fighting together with Ravus, more action-based combat for Ignis, and of course information on what happened when Ignis was separated from the rest of the boys.

Another surprise announcement was that the legendary composer Yasunori Mitsuda will be contributing the score for this DLC. Mitsuda is best known for his work on Chrono Trigger , which should speak for itself. Episode Ignis has also been confirmed to have multiple endings, which should be interesting for Final Fantasy XV completionists.
