Destiny 2’s Curse of Osiris Raises Caps

Destiny 2’s Curse of Osiris Raises Caps

Destiny 2 ‘s Curse of Osiris DLC will not be releasing until December 5, 2017, but already small little hints as to what to expect are releasing. Today, it was discovered that Bungie will be moving the level cap up, which is to be expected. The surprising revelation is that the power level cap is also increasing.

As of the day of Curse of Osiris’ release, Destiny 2 ‘s level cap will move up to 25 and the power level cap will go to 330. Level cap increases are always an easy way to get fans playing a game. Now they have new goals to reach, and it re-piques their interest. The power level adjustment is certainly sure to have the same effect, because it’s a much more ambiguous achievement to go after. So while this may have been an unexpected level raise, it’s a welcome one.

The power level for rare and legendary gear will also most likely increase with the release of Curse of Osiris. No official announcement has been made in regards to this quite yet though. There also haven’t been any statements on how to level specifically. What were your favorite methods in the original Destiny ?

There will be all sorts of other awesome additions to Destiny 2 in Curse of Osiris, including a new Ghost, a returning character, and a PlayStation 4-exclusive Crucible map. The new Ghost is a woman named Sagira, voiced by Morena Baccarin of Firefly , Deadpool , and Gotham fame. The character we’ll see returning from the original Destiny is Brother Vance. And the new PS4-exclusive map is Wormhaven, which is located in Titan’s New Pacific Arcology area. This will stay exclusive for an undetermined amount of time before it also becomes available on the Xbox One and PC.
