Bethesda Hiring for Another Mobile Game

Bethesda Hiring for Another Mobile Game

It would seem that Bethesda has some portable tricks up their sleeves. They created the widely popular Fallout Shelter mobile game, and it would appear that they plan to build on that success. Bethesda’s parent company, ZeniMax Online Studios, has a job listing for a Mobile Designer live. It calls for those interested in Bethesda properties with the ability to work on cross-platform mobile games.

This is where the fact separates from fiction. This job listing doesn’t, of course, list the exact game that the Mobile Designer would be working on. ZeniMax themselves listed The Elder Scrolls , Wolfenstein , and Fallout in the listing itself. Even still, many are speculating that this is a sign of The Elder Scrolls mobile game. No, we’re not talking about The Elder Scrolls: Legends (which hasn’t been super successful); it would be something entirely different. Would The Elder Scrolls mobile game be a spiritual successor to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim ? Or would it be based somewhere else?

Bethesda’s Fallout Shelter is a really great game that has done well for itself, so you can be sure the company will take inspiration from it. Here’s hoping they’re not just creating a The Elder Scrolls version of Fallout Shelter . Sure, it’d be fun to create and manage my own city in Skyrim, but there’s plenty of potential for something else great. Lightning might have been captured in a bottle with Fallout Shelter , and it’s doubtful that can be repeated.

What kind of The Elder Scrolls mobile game would you like to see? A simulator, a watered down role-playing game, or something totally different? Let us know!
