Stranger Things Will Have a PSVR Experience

Stranger Things Will Have a PSVR Experience

Stranger Things has dabbled in virtual reality before. There was a very short 360 degree experience made available to fans of the show back in August, 2016. The same VR experience was shared with some of the cast members from the show. Their reactions ranged from adorable to hilarious. It would appear that even more Stranger Things VR experiences will be heading our way eventually.

Netflix released a teaser trailer today that very simplistically tells us that a Stranger Things VR experience will be headed to PlayStation VR. The video opens up to the Christmas lights wall that we know all too well at this point. The letters light up individually to spell out “PSVR.” Then, after the whole string lights up at the same time, and some glitchy things happen, the alphabet gets replaced with “Coming Soon to PlayStation VR.” Soon is a rather ambiguous release date, but as it’s a massively popular franchise, I’m sure we’ll see something more solid when it gets closer.

Past this very short trailer, there isn’t much information to go on. A reference to the Upside Down has people speculating that perhaps this experience will take us into a world that is similar, but not quite the same as our own. Exploring the Upside Down would definitely be a welcome experience to the fans. It also goes without saying that the teaser trailer mentioned feeling terror. Anything Stranger Things -themed is guaranteed to be a horror game/experience.

I’m looking forward to more information about this, what about you?
