PlayStation Experience 2017 Keynote Shorter than Usual

PlayStation Experience 2017 Keynote Shorter than Usual

Anyone who wants to follow along with Sony news should keep a close eye on the PlayStation Experience. It’s happening December 8-10, 2017 this year, and Sony usually holds at least a few announcements close to the vest to release during this event. Many of those are revealed during the PlayStation Experience keynote. This year’s presentation, however, has been admittedly scaled back from previous years.

The Director of PlayStation Social Media, Sid Shuman, tried to make it clear that this year’s keynote is more a preface to the main event than anything. There will be some special guests, game updates, and a few opening statements for the PlayStation Experience as a whole. PlayStation Worldwide Studios’ Shawn Layden will be the face of the PlayStation Experience keynote.

For anyone wanting to tune in at home, the PlayStation Experience 2017 keynote will start at 8pm PT/11pm ET on December 8, 2017. The event, as a whole, will last from December 9 to 10, 2016, and takes place at the Anaheim Convention Center in California. It’s bit of a bummer that not many major announcements will be made, but Sony admitted that they didn’t release much at E3 2017 because they were saving it for Paris Games Week. That means, like E3, the PlayStation Experience keynote is left with little to say as well.

Will you be going to the PlayStation Experience in California?
