Pokemon Go Global Catch Challenge Event Launches

Pokemon Go Global Catch Challenge Event Launches

The newest Pokemon Go event is a collaborate effort between all players around the world, with some serious rewards at the end. It’s called the Global Catch Challenge. If the Pokemon Go community can reach some serious total catch numbers, some pretty cool stuff will happen for everyone.

As of this writing, the community has already reached the first goal, unlocking the Bronze level reward. With 500 million total catches, players now have double XP and six-hour lures. The Gold level reward will let players catch Farfetch’d, a previously Japan-exclusive Pokemon, regardless of location, for a limited time. Japanese players will get access to Kangaskhan, previously Australia-exclusive, as well. To get to that reward, players will need to catch a total of three billion Pokemon.

This seems like a lofty goal, and with it comes a time limit. The event is only a week long, and things will be wrapping up on November 26, 2017. Think the community can do it?
