Fortnite Update Adds Xbox One X Support

Fortnite Update Adds Xbox One X Support

Fortnite , the free-to-play title from Epic Games, has been in the news for all kinds of controversial stuff. But today we’re talking about them for something more simple and positive. Fortnite has gotten a new patch which brings some more cool stuff to the game. First and foremost, Fortnite is now Xbox One X enhanced, which is fun news for Xbox One X players. For everyone else, Fortnite has some neat new additions.

Battle Royale mode within Fortnite has gotten a new weapon and brand new leaderboards. The weapon is the smoke grenade. This is pretty self-explanatory, but yes, you throw it, it poofs, and then obscures your enemies’ vision. They will randomly spawn as floor loot and can also be found in any containers. The new leaderboards that have been introduced to Battle Royale mode are Global Wins and Score. These list people by top 50 globally for each match type, and total experience gained respectively.

Save the World mode in Fortnite has also gotten some additions. Now Vindertech weapons will be available in this mode. All nine of these weapons will be accessible for players during the Mutant Storms season. This is the second new/old feature in Save the World. Mutant Storms have returned and players will be awarded storm tickets for defeating the husks. If you’re interested in taking a look at the Vindertech weapons, they’re in the photo above but here are their names. There will be the Pulsar (assault rifle), Burster (pistol), Blazer (machine pistol), Disintegrator (shotgun), Jolter (sniper rifle), Blaster (pistol), Slammer (rocket hammer), Sever (energy axe), and Slicer (energy sword).

Will you be hopping back into Fortnite to check out all these new updates?
