Amazon Alexa Gets a Destiny Twist

Amazon Alexa Gets a Destiny Twist

If you’re anything like me, you adore the time that we live in. Every new little technologic gadget thrills and chills me. I’m always excited about the silliest little things, but anything that can make live easier technologically is awesome. Amazon Alexa is one of those gadgets that I’ve pined over since it started becoming a thing. Now Amazon is even starting to cater to the gaming crowd with their most recent addition (and version) of Alexa.

For those that already have the good fortune of owning an Amazon Alexa, or who plan to buy one very soon, you can download what’s called the “Ghost Skill” app. This app is free to enable on your Alexa through Amazon.com . What it does is activates the voice of Ghost from Destiny 2 , otherwise known to the entire Internet as the voice of Nolan North. With the Ghost Skill app active on your Alexa you can ask her to ask him things, which will end with a Ghost response. The Amazon example in particular is, “Alexa, ask Ghost for my clan summary.” At that point, you’ll receive the information you were looking for in Nolan North’s voice.

If this is not real enough for you, Amazon is actually selling Alexas that look like Ghost. They’re available for pre-order already starting today, and they’ll ship out on December 19. The Ghost Alexa will cost $90. But who can put a price on having one of your favorite video game drones there with you in reality? Will you be getting one? At the least you can throw it on your Amazon wishlist and hope a generous soul passes you by on the web.
