Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle Gets Local PvP Mode

Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle Gets Local PvP Mode

If you’ve been playing Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle and enjoying the heck out of it, there’s soon to be more to love. December 8, 2017 marks the next big update for the game, which includes a brand new mode. This mode will be free for everyone to download, and pits you against your friends, locally!

It’s a great addition for those that love the existing multiplayer in Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle , but want something just a little more personal. This soon to be added PvP mode will have you and a friend and battling against each other on a single Switch. Everything in the mode is totally separate from the rest of Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle . The rules are totally different, as well as the gameplay, the maps, and even the loadouts.

In this free mode for Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle , players will have to plan their movements and attacks based on a ticket system. As a team you can only act three times in a turn. However, there are loot boxes strewn throughout the course that will allow you extra actions. Obviously, whoever manages to snag these boxes first has a big advantage. The cool thing about Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle for those that like trying out different weapons and abilities is that this mode’s loadouts are separate. Unlike the multiplayer in the base game, this new mode will feature totally unrestricted weapons and ability choices. It won’t be dependent on how far you’ve gotten in the campaign.

Everyone who already owns Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle will get to start checking out this new PvP mode on tomorrow, Friday, December 8!
