PUBG Gets Replay System
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds test servers are still continuing to get major updates. This most recent one added a replay system that's got everyone talking. The update also led to an announcement from the developer related to the two maps that will be available for everyone soon. Originally, Erangel and Miramar were just going to be added to the game and available at random for players. There was much feedback however, and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Corp decided this would not work.

Most PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds users see Miramar and Erangel as two very different experiences, as though they are the equivalent of two different game modes. Because of this, PUBG Corp realized they would have to allow players the ability to choose which map they would like to play. This isn't available right now, but will be after launch. This brings the number of gameplay options to 12 total, which might make it difficult for players in smaller populated regions. It will be worth keeping an eye on to see how it works out.

On to the replay system! This will be integrated into PUBG this week. It was first available on the test servers this past weekend. It's a feature that will record everything that is happening within one kilometer of you. When you go back to view the video that was taken, you can look at what's going on from any perspective you choose. It's also possible to use a free camera to look literally anywhere you want from anywhere. It'll give you a heads up when there's a battle happening during the replay so you won't miss anything. Players will be able to save up to 20 3D replays at a time.
