SoulCalibur VI Heading to PC
Soulcalibur VI

Anyone who grew up in the 90's definitely played at least one version of SoulCalibur. It was the title that my sister and I used to beat the snot out of each other virtually, rather than physically. SoulCalibur VI is the most recent game in the franchise, and it will mark the series' PC debut.

SoulCalibur VI was first announced at The Game Awards 2017. At the same time, we were made aware of two returning characters: Mitsurugi and Sophitia. We also know that the game is being made with the same technology as Tekken 7, which means it uses Unreal Engine 4. Many people within the industry who have gotten their hands on it are saying that it feels very classic. The controls are familiar, so old fans can continue their SoulCalibur legacy, but it will also allow new fans to pick up the tricks of the trade quickly. There's no official knowledge out there yet on how the control scheme will translate to a mouse and keyboard, but we can probably look to Tekken 7 for some ideas.

It's always interesting to see when a game makes a jump to a brand new platform. Will it translate well or will it just seem like an unnecessary port? Here's hoping SoulCalibur VI will work well for PC gamers. We'll see more gameplay and announcements as we lead up to the non-disclosed 2018 release date.
