Destiny 2’s Mayhem Has a Major Exploit

Destiny 2’s Mayhem Has a Major Exploit

Destiny 2 has seen the return of Mayhem ,and it’s quite literally causing mayhem. One Reddit user, DefenderEchoaz, discovered that they had access to an infinite number of Nova Bombs within Mayhem mode. They were playing on a console, but even PC users have now confirmed that this exploit does indeed exist.

Supposedly, you need to enter Mayhem mode with the Voidwalker subclass, charge a grenade, and then press whatever button necessary to activate your Super. DefenderEchoaz used the bumper jumper to allow their Super to be activated with a single button. What happens after you do all the above is that your player throws out a Nova Bomb instead of a grenade. Somehow, Destiny 2 is being tricked into thinking you’ve instead thrown a grenade by using this method. Players will find that their Super meter is still full. So long as they follow the same path as above, they can repeatedly throw out Nova Bombs to their heart’s content.

Most likely Bungie has caught wind of it at this point, so we’ll see what sort of fix comes our way. In the meantime however, I think we can all appreciate the fact that the “Mayhem” mode has erupted into real and pure mayhem!
