Star Wars: Battlefront II Modders Create Pink Vader

Star Wars: Battlefront II Modders Create Pink Vader

Star Wars: Battlefront II was the clustertruck of 2017. The controversy surrounding it has followed it into the new year, but in the best way. Something that was said by higher-ups within EA has really sparked the modding community. As of right now, you can play Star Wars: Battlefront II with a pink Darh Vader. Let’s go back in time a bit for an explanation.

When the heat of Battlefront II ‘s microtransaction drama was at its hottest, Blake Jorgensen (CFO at EA) stated that canon was the most important thing to the company. Rather than making cosmetic items for microtransactions (which is fairly industry standard at this point), EA went with a pretty well pay-to-win structure. Essentially according to Jorgensen, EA would rather players pay for progression items over cosmetics that wouldn’t influence the gameplay.

Funny enough, he directly referenced a pink Dark Vader when he was explaining EA’s supposed commitment to canon, “…you probably don’t want Darth Vader in pink. No offense to pink, but I don’t think that’s right in the canon.” The modding community has promptly responded with, “I do what I want,” as you can now download the pink Darth Vader mod via Nexus Mods . The creator of this beautiful Vader (Destauch) will also be creating a white one, since Jorgensen seems to think fans don’t want that either.

If you want to run around Star Wars: Battlefront II as Vader clad in pink, you’ll also have to add Frosty Mod Manager to your game. Once you do that and download Pink Darth Vader, it’s just a few more simple steps to complete your dream.
