Monster Hunter: World Pre-Release Beta Announced

Monster Hunter: World Pre-Release Beta Announced

Monster Hunter: World is finally going to be arriving on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on January 26, 2018. Even so close to the release date, Capcom is still driving the hype train full speed ahead. PlayStation 4 users will be able to test out the game once more before launch. Also, the first DLC monster for the game has been announced.

There’s nothing quite like a beta test to get people psyched for a game that’s about to come out. Capcom clearly agrees, as the PlayStation 4 beta for Monster Hunter World will be happening between January 18 and 22, 2018. If you’ve pre-ordered the game or plan to pick it up on day one for the PlayStation 4, that means you’ll only have to wait a few short days between the beta and the full release. Xbox One players are left out in the cold for some reason. Within this beta, all the previous beta mission monsters will be available (Jagras, Anjanath, and Barroth), as well as one new one: Nergigante.

All of these monsters are exciting enough as it is, but Capcom has been saying all along that even more monsters will continue to be released after launch. They showcased the first of these monsters as a show of good faith during their Monster Hunter: World live stream. Deviljho will be the first post-launch monster to become available for the game. This creature will be included in a free DLC some time in the spring.
