Late last year, a rumor was spreading about a remastered version of Burnout Paradise hitting consoles sometime in 2018. Now, we have official confirmation this is indeed happening. Oddly enough, the only confirmation so far is from Japan.
The source of this news comes from a Japanese wiki that compiles known release dates from retailers and other sources. Burnout Paradise HD Remaster, from Electronic Arts, will reportedly hit the PlayStation 4 in Japan on March 16, 2018. The price is listed around 4,000 yen, which is roughly $40.
While PlayStation 4-only in Japan, it’s safe to expect an Xbox One version in other territories. Japan has more PlayStation 4 exclusives in general due to the relative non-presence of the Xbox One family in the country. Earlier rumors came from retailer listings, citing March 1, 2018 in other territories for both consoles.
Burnout Paradise originally launched for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC in 2008.
