There's certainly nothing like an in-game artifact made real. To this day, I still want a Vault Boy bobblehead from Fallout. Dragon Age 2 and Inquisition fans will soon be able to hold something very real from the world of the game. Those familiar with the series will probably not need much explanation if I simply shared the words Hard in Hightown.
For those unfamiliar though, let's elaborate. Varric is a dwarf companion in Dragon Age 2 and Inquisition. Not only is he a good fighter, he's also a writer. Within the game, he has authored a bestselling novel called Hard in Hightown. You can find 19 chapters of the book throughout the game, as well as participate in side-quests related to it. (Let's just say, imitation is the best form of flattery on that one.)
Hard in Hightown has become so popular that Dark Horse Books, BioWare, and Penguin Random House are working together to make it real. It will be 96 pages long, including 24 pages of illustrations. It will be releasing in July, 2018 and looks like it'll run you about $20. Pre-orders are already available on Amazon! While fans of the series can already read the tale online or in-game, there's nothing like having a physical manifestation of video game lore, am I right?
