Monster Hunter: World Getting Street Fighter Costumes

Monster Hunter: World Getting Street Fighter Costumes

The M onster Hunter series is no stranger to IP collaboration, and Monster Hunter: World is getting its second crossover gimmick. This time it’s internal, for Street Fighter V . This follows a PlayStation 4-exclusive Horizon: Zero Dawn set that launched with the game.

There is still PlayStation 4 exclusivity here, albeit temporary. There’s no release date yet, but Capcom announced that in a few weeks, a quest for PS4 players with Street Fighter V save data will appear and allow players to earn Street Fighter V tickets. Combined with the proper materials, players will be able to craft items to make an armor set based on Ryu. Get the whole set, and the character will actually change into Ryu himself.

Later, the quest will be released to everyone, not just PS4 players with the needed save data. Following that, all players will then gain access to another set of quests that will lead to players being able to craft an armor set/transformation based on Sakura.

Finally, gestures for using the iconic Hadoken and Shoryuken moves will be made available for purchase on the PSN and Xbox Live marketplaces for $3.99 each. There will also be a new stamp set for $1.99.
