Monster Hunter: World Is the Series’ Fastest Selling Game

Monster Hunter: World Is the Series’ Fastest Selling Game

If you’re looking for a game to get into that’s really popular right now, you won’t go wrong with Monster Hunter: World . Having just released on January 26, 2018, the game has already sold more than 5 million copies. That’s three days for five million individual sales. This makes Monster Hunter: World the fastest selling game in the Monster Hunter series ever.

The crazy thing about that number is the fact that Monster Hunter: World is only available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 right now. It will also be releasing on PC, which will of course raise the number of sales even higher than before. There’s also the fact that the Xbox One version of Monster Hunter: World is only available in North America and Europe at the moment. Once the Xbox One version reaches the rest of the world, sales can only increase. Also, that five million copies includes both physical and digital sales.

If you’ve been following the series in any way, then you’ll know that this is the first time since 2012’s Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate that Monster Hunter has found its way to consoles. Previously, they tended to be 3DS exclusives. All said and done, Monster Hunter as a franchise has sold over 45 million copies since it first began publishing in 2004.

Monster Hunter is one of those series that has rightfully found its place in the video game world as a “sure thing” buy. You generally can’t go wrong with buying a Monster Hunter title, and its clear that World is the same way. Have you bought it?
