Far Cry 5 DLC Announced

Far Cry 5 DLC Announced

Far Cry 5 won’t be releasing until March 27, 2018, but Ubisoft has deemed it important to already declare what will be given to season pass owners. Not only will they get three different sets of DLC, they’ll also get a copy of another game entirely. That game is Far Cry 3: Classic Edition . This will be released for Far Cry 5 season pass owners on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A month later, every other PS4 or Xbox One owner can purchase Far Cry 3: Classic Edition on its own. This is of course just a re-release of the fan favorite title for current generation consoles.

As far as the other DLC contained within the Far Cry 5 season pass is concerned, we’d like to remind everyone of Far Cry 3 : Blood Dragon. Remember how ridiculously awesome that DLC was? Well the Far Cry 5 extra content seems ready to triple down on that concept. The three Far Cry 5 season pass DLC are called: Dead Living Zombies, Hours of Darkness, and Lost on Mars. The first will seemingly have players fighting off hordes of the undead, the second will drop them in a battle with Viet Cong, and the third will involve clashes with spider aliens.

We don’t know when exactly these DLC will be released quite yet, but obviously they’ll have to wait until the game itself comes out. Surely the DLC will be available to purchase à la carte, but why not just pick them up in one fell swoop?

Are you going to grab the Far Cry 5 season pass now that you know what’s in it? Or are you just going to buy a copy of Far Cry 3: Classic Edition when that becomes available this summer?
