Shadow of the Colossus Remake’s Secret Found

Shadow of the Colossus Remake’s Secret Found

Is there nothing more exciting in video games than finding the solution to a massive secret? Shadow of the Colossus fans have done just that with the remake. There was a brand new type of collectible introduced to the remake: “Enlightenments.” These are glowing gold coins that can be found throughout the world. Turns out there are 79 of them total in Shadow of the Colossus , and they unlock a very tantalizing weapon.

What is that weapon you wonder? It’s called the Sword of Dormin. Its namesake is the mysterious voice that helps the player character (Wander) throughout the game and offers to revive the deceased girl (Mono). The weapon gives the player a major boost to the amount of damage they can do against enemies. However, that bonus comes at a cost. You’ll regenerate health much slower. If you take the time to find all 79 Enlightenments, you’ll have to decide whether or not you want to use the Sword of Dormin.

Fans of the original Shadow of the Colossus will remember that there are two other types of collectibles in the game. Those being the Fruit Trees and Lizard Tails. These are still available for players to find in the remake as well. So when you’re not busy tackling all those colossi, be sure to keep your eyes peeled for all those extra special collectibles.
