If you’re an Xbox fan, you may not have had a chance to play a game in the Ys franchise before. But you’ll finally have your chance thanks to Dotemu, who will be bringing Ys Origin to the Xbox One. This game is a prequel to others in the Ys franchise. Players will delve into what is called the Devil’s Tower to banish demons and attempt to save a set a Goddess twins.
For any Ys fans, they will already recognize the twins as Feena and Reah, goddesses who rescued the titular Ys from demons. The characters that are the focus of Ys Origin include Hugo Fact, Yunica Tovah, and the Claw. Players will learn more about this trio of companions sometime this spring when Ys Origins releases on the Xbox One.
PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and PC players have probably already given Ys Origin a chance. But this is a monumental step towards further inclusion of some great action-RPGs on the Xbox One. Keep an eye on Dotemu’s social media accounts as we get closer and closer to the glory of spring. A more specific release date for Ys Origins will be available then.
